英検3級では、
「どちらが大きい？」
「いちばん好きなのは？」
「同じくらい？」
のように、ものや人を比べる表現がよく出ます。
比較には、大きく分けて3種類あります。
✅ 比較級（〜より）
✅ 最上級（いちばん〜）
✅ as ～ as（〜と同じくらい）
この3つを覚えればOKです！
🐙 比較級「〜より」
比較級は、
A is 比較級 than B
で、
「AはBより〜です」
という意味になります。
My dog is bigger than yours.
私の犬はあなたの犬より大きいです。
Tom is taller than Ken.
トムはケンより背が高いです。
「〜より」の部分は than です。
🐙 比較級の作り方
短い単語は、基本的に er をつけます。

🐙 最上級「いちばん〜」
最上級は、
the＋最上級
で、
「いちばん〜」
という意味になります。
Mt. Fuji is the highest mountain in Japan.
富士山は日本でいちばん高い山です。
She is the tallest in her class.
彼女はクラスでいちばん背が高いです。

短い単語は、基本的に est をつけます。

同じくらいを表すときは、
as＋原級＋as
を使います。

トムはケンと同じくらい背が高いです。

この本はあの本と同じくらい面白いです。
as ～ as の真ん中には、比較級ではなく原級を置きます。

① thanを忘れる
❌ Tom is taller Ken.
⭕ Tom is taller than Ken.
比較級で「〜より」と表すときは、thanを使います。
② as ～ asの真ん中
❌ Tom is as taller as Ken.
⭕ Tom is as tall as Ken.
as ～ asの真ん中には原級を置きます。
③ 最上級のtheを忘れる
❌ She is tallest in her class.
⭕ She is the tallest in her class.
最上級の前にはtheを置きます。
